Overview
The Lemon Stand is the first and most fundamental income source in Sell Lemons. You start the game standing in front of an empty lemon stand — click to produce lemons, and visiting NPCs will buy them automatically. The cash they pay drops on the ground, so walk over it to collect. Simple, but this is the foundation of your entire lemon empire.
How It Works
The Lemon Stand follows the core game loop in its purest form:
Click or tap the stand to produce lemons. With the Juicer upgrade, production speed increases significantly.
NPC visitors automatically walk up and buy lemons. More upgrades = more visitors = more sales.
Cash drops on the ground near the stand. Walk over it to pick it up — don't leave money sitting around!
Use collected cash to buy upgrades. The right order matters — see the priority list below.
Once you buy the Stand Automator, lemon production becomes fully automatic. This is your biggest early-game milestone.
Key Upgrades (Priority Order)
These are the most important upgrades for the Lemon Stand, ranked by priority:
Juicer (S Tier)
Increases lemon production speed. Buy every level available — this is the single most important upgrade in the game. Faster production = more lemons = more cash.
Stand Automator (S Tier)
Fully automates lemon production at the stand. This frees you to explore, deliver orders via Lemon Dash, and hunt for secrets. Buy this as soon as you can afford it.
2x Stand Cash (S Tier)
Doubles all income from the lemon stand. Stacks multiplicatively with other bonuses for exponential growth.
Cup Stand
Adds cups to your stand, increasing sell price and attracting new customer types.
Badge: Buy the Lemon Stand
When you first purchase and interact with the Lemon Stand, you'll earn the "Buy the Lemon Stand" badge with the description: "Lemonade? Nah, we Sell Lemons." This is one of the first badges you can earn in the game.
Tips for Maximizing Income
Always walk over dropped cash immediately. Money left on the ground isn't earning interest!
Some upgrades are hidden behind decoration purchases. If you can't find new upgrade buttons, buy the available decorations (walls, roof, floor) to reveal them.
Prioritize the Stand Automator over everything except the Juicer. Automation is the key to passive income and offline earnings.
Answer every NPC phone call — the bonus cash accelerates your early progression significantly.
When to Move On
Once you've maxed out key Lemon Stand upgrades and purchased the Stand Automator, it's time to unlock Lemon Dash — the delivery mini-game that adds a second independent income stream. Don't neglect the stand, though — with the automator running, it continues generating cash while you're busy delivering orders.
