What is First Tier?
First Tier is an endgame progression system that unlocks a spiral staircase near the Republic area. When you purchase the First Tier button (for approximately 1 trevigintillion cash), a dramatic spiral staircase appears, leading upward toward 'the stars.' ⭐ The Staircase is a non-linear permanent upgrade tree — each step requires enormous capital sacrifice, but rewards structural buffs that change how income is calculated (not simple multipliers). ⭐ All staircase purchases persist across Rebirth, Evolution, AND Ascension resets — truly the most permanent upgrade in the game. ⚠️ The developer intentionally keeps the complete step list mysterious (curiosity gap design) — the community is still theorizing about the full path.
How to Unlock
You need approximately 1 trevigintillion cash to purchase the First Tier button.
The button is located near the Republic area of your factory.
You'll need trevigintillion-level Investors as well. Focus on maximizing Investor count before attempting.
Most players need at least Evolution 6 to accumulate the required resources.

The staircase purchases are PERMANENT — they persist across Rebirth, Evolution, AND Ascension resets. This makes the Staircase the most permanent upgrade system in the game.
First Tier is a prerequisite for the Ascension system (the highest meta-progression tier). You must complete the Stairway to unlock Ascension.
The staircase has buttons to purchase along the way — each one provides structural buffs that change income calculation, not simple multipliers. Complete all buttons including decorations to finish the Stairway. ⚠️ The developer intentionally keeps the full step list hidden — community is still discovering the complete path.

Connection to Ascension
Completing the First Tier Stairway is one of the prerequisites for Ascension — the ultimate meta-progression system. After completing the Stairway, you need approximately 1 trevigintillion to duo-trigintillion cash plus matching Investor levels to trigger Ascension. Ascension grants 7.77x permanent cash multiplier, +1 Forever Purchase slot, a cosmetic halo, but also increases all prices by 3.33x.

After First Tier, the next stage is Burst Tier — visible in-game as a locked beam of light near the Lime production area, marked as 'Coming Soon.' While not yet available, this is expected to be the next major progression system after the Spiral Staircase.
Tips
Don't skip decoration buttons on the Stairway — they may be required to complete the path and unlock Ascension.
Start planning for First Tier resources well in advance. The trevigintillion price tag requires focused Ascend cycling.
Reach Evolution 6 before attempting First Tier. The 42x multiplier from Lime evolution significantly speeds up resource accumulation.
