Lemon Trading is the fourth income source in Sell Lemons and represents a shift from pure clicking and automation to strategic decision-making. It functions as a stock-trading mini-game where you buy and sell lemon commodities at fluctuating prices. Timing your trades correctly can yield massive profits, making this one of the most engaging income sources in the game.
How It Works
Trading operates on a simple buy-low, sell-high loop:
Unlocks in the mid-to-late game after Lemon Depot is established. The Trading Post becomes available for purchase.
Lemon commodity prices fluctuate in real-time. Watch the price ticker for dips and spikes.
Buy lemons when prices are low. The lower you buy, the more profit potential.
Sell when prices rise above your purchase price. The difference is pure profit.
Keep trading cycles going. Experienced players can time the market for consistent high returns.
Key Upgrades
These upgrades improve your trading capabilities:
Trade Capacity
Increases the maximum number of lemons you can buy and sell per trade. Higher capacity = bigger potential profits per cycle.
Price Insight Upgrades
Improves market visibility and gives better price indicators. Helps you time your buy/sell decisions more accurately.
Trading Manager (B Priority)
Automates basic trading operations. While not as impactful as other managers, it still adds a passive income layer. Lower priority than Depot Manager.
Trading Strategy
Profitable trading requires patience and timing:
Don't panic-sell during dips. Wait for genuine price recovery before selling.
The best profits come from buying during significant price drops and selling during peaks.
Don't put all your cash into a single trade. Keep reserves for other upgrades and Ascend cycles.
Focus on manual trading first to learn price patterns, then invest in the Trading Manager once you understand the market rhythm.
Tips & Warnings
Trading is a complementary income source — don't neglect your automated Stand, Dash, and Depot income while trading.
Don't start a big trade right before an Ascend. All progress resets with Ascend.
NPC phone deals can give you bonus cash between trades. Answer every call.
