What are NPC Deals?
NPC Deals are random offers that appear on your in-game phone every 3-5 minutes during active gameplay. NPCs — including Aliens and Investors — offer you trades with three choices: Accept, Raise, or Decline. Accepting gives you the offered reward, Raising attempts to negotiate a better deal (but may cause the NPC to walk away), and Declining skips the offer entirely. Over time, these deals add up to a significant income bonus.
NPC Types
There are several NPC types, each with different deal styles:
Alien NPC (Joe the Alien)
Offers multiplier-based deals (300-500%+ bonuses). Introduced by an NPC named 'Joe the Alien'. These are almost always worth accepting — the multiplier bonuses can significantly boost your income. Joe the Alien is the gateway to the Alien Investors system.
Investor NPC
Offers fixed cash deals and occasionally Cosmic Cash. The cash amounts scale with your progression. Always accept Cosmic Cash offers — they're rare and valuable. Investor Bonus is doubled (1% → 2%) after earning the Good Samaritan Badge, making every Investor deal significantly more rewarding.
Mystery Investor (Unconfirmed)
Recent YouTube videos mention a 'Mystery Investor' NPC. Details are still being verified by the community. May offer unique deals or higher-value trades.
How to Respond — Accept, Raise, or Decline
Each deal gives you three options:
Take the deal as offered.
Take the deal as offered. The safe choice — you always get what's shown. Best for Alien multiplier deals and any offer with Cosmic Cash.
Try to negotiate a better deal.
Try to negotiate a better deal. Can result in a higher payout, but the NPC might cancel the entire deal. Risky with Investor NPCs, worth trying occasionally with Aliens.
Skip the offer entirely.
Skip the offer entirely. Use this only if the deal is clearly bad (rare). Most deals are worth taking.
Deal Strategy
Always accept Alien deals. The multiplier bonuses are too valuable to risk losing.
Consider raising with Investor NPCs when the base offer is low. You have little to lose.
Any deal offering Cosmic Cash should be accepted immediately. Cosmic Cash is the rarest and most valuable resource.
Deals come every 3-5 minutes during active play. Stay alert and answer every call.
Tips
The biggest mistake players make is ignoring phone calls. Even small deals compound over dozens of Ascends.
NPC Deals don't trigger while offline. Active play maximizes your deal frequency.
After Ascend 50, NPC Deals start offering Cosmic Cash regularly. This becomes a primary Cosmic Cash source.
Never spend Cosmic Cash from NPC Deals on temporary boosts. Save it for Sewer Key, UFO Key, and other permanent unlocks.
