Evolution is a meta-progression system in Sell Lemons that persists across all Ascends. When you evolve, your fruit changes entirely — through a chain of 10 stages from Lemon (E0) to Purity (E9) — and each evolution grants a massive 42x income speed multiplier. The complete chain: Lemon → Orange → Lime → Grapefruit → Tangerine → Pomelo → Abyssalime → Nullfruit → Voidlemon → Purity. After Purity, the cycle loops back to Lemon+1. Evolution progress is tied to your Investor count: the more investors you have, the faster you evolve. Unlike Ascend which resets buildings, Evolution directly improves your base stats and changes your entire visual theme while maintaining the same 8 income source structure (Stand, Dash, Depot, Trading, Labs, Robotics, Republic, X).

Fruit Evolution Chain

The complete Evolution chain has 10 stages (E0–E9). Each evolution transforms your fruit, unlocks a new visual theme, and grants a 42x income speed multiplier — cumulative multipliers scale to x406.7 trillion at Purity:

The final evolution fruit! Requires ~3.3 Unquadragintillion Investors. Cumulative multiplier: x406,671,383,849,472 (over 406 trillion!). Void Evolution

Void Evolution refers to the late-stage evolutions in the chain — specifically Voidlemon (E8) and beyond, where fruits take on cosmic and void-themed designs. These evolutions require astronomical Investor counts (80+ Sextrigintillion for Voidlemon) and grant cumulative multipliers in the trillions. To perform a Void Evolution, you must pass through the Portal to reach the Void Altar. The Portal becomes accessible as you progress through the evolution chain and accumulate enough Investors. Each Void Evolution follows the same 42x multiplier rule but the sheer scale of the numbers makes strategy and timing critical — always ensure your Investor Bonus exceeds 200% before evolving.

Evolution affects your game in several ways:
