What is Cosmic Cash?
Cosmic Cash is a premium in-game currency that cannot be purchased with Robux — it must be earned through gameplay. It starts appearing around Ascend 50 and is used for some of the most important permanent unlocks in the game. Because it's rare and valuable, knowing how to farm it efficiently and spend it wisely is critical.
Earning Sources — Ranked by Efficiency
Not all Cosmic Cash sources are equal. Here's the efficiency ranking:
1. Ascend Rewards (Best Source)
★★★★★Each Ascend past 50 generates Cosmic Cash. Higher Ascend counts = more Cosmic Cash per cycle. By Ascend 100+, Cosmic Cash flows steadily. This is your primary and most reliable source.
2. NPC Deals (Reliable Secondary)
★★★★☆Alien and Investor NPCs occasionally offer Cosmic Cash as part of their phone deals. Always accept these immediately — they're rare. Active play maximizes deal frequency.
3. Evolution Bonus (Passive Boost)
★★★☆☆Higher Evolution levels improve your Cosmic Cash earning rate from ALL sources. This is a passive multiplier — invest in Evolution and all your Cosmic Cash income increases automatically.
4. Sewer Area (Requires Key)
★★★☆☆The Sewer Area (unlocked with Sewer Key) contains additional Cosmic Cash opportunities. A bonus source, not a primary one. Worth exploring once you have the key.
When Does Cosmic Cash Start Appearing?
Cosmic Cash begins appearing around Ascend 50. Before that, you won't see it at all. Don't worry about it in the early game — focus on Ascending. Once you hit Ascend 50, start paying attention to every Cosmic Cash source and begin saving immediately.
Spending Priority — What to Buy First
Every unit of Cosmic Cash is precious. Follow this priority order:
1. Sewer Key (Highest Priority)
Unlocks the hidden Sewer Area with exclusive rewards. This should be your first major Cosmic Cash purchase. The Sewer Area itself provides more earning opportunities.
2. UFO Key
Unlocks the UFO Area. Requires the Good Samaritan Badge in addition to Cosmic Cash. The second major permanent unlock.
3. Cosmic Farmer Badge
A milestone achievement that proves your Cosmic Cash mastery. Required for certain unlocks and endgame progression.
4. Endgame Progression Items
Various endgame items and upgrades that require Cosmic Cash, including Purity Fruit-related items and advanced progression.
⚠️ What NOT to Spend Cosmic Cash On
Never spend Cosmic Cash on temporary income boosts, speed boosts, or any temporary multiplier. These may seem tempting when you're stuck, but the permanent unlocks are infinitely more valuable. This is the #1 regret of experienced players — wasting Cosmic Cash on temporary boosts early in their playthrough. Save every unit for permanent unlocks.
Farming Strategy
Begin saving from Ascend 50. Don't touch it until you have enough for the Sewer Key.
Always accept NPC Deals that offer Cosmic Cash. No exceptions.
Invest in Evolution to passively boost all Cosmic Cash earning rates.
NPC Deals don't trigger while offline. Active play sessions maximize Cosmic Cash from this source.
