Overview
Hill Expansion is the largest zone on the Sell Lemons map, featuring three distinct expansion layers stacked vertically. Each layer must be unlocked and developed sequentially. The hill dominates the map's skyline and becomes accessible in the late game after Lemon Depot and Lemon Trading are well-established. It's visually impressive — your empire transforms from a ground-level operation into a multi-tiered mountain fortress.
The Three Layers
Each layer adds new buildings and income opportunities:
Layer 1 — Foundation
The base of the hill with basic expansion buildings. First unlock — costs billions but the income boost is immediate. Contains new decoration gates and upgrade buttons.
Layer 2 — Mid-Hill
More complex buildings with higher income potential. Requires substantial investment. New decoration gates may appear here. Watch for hidden upgrade buttons.
Layer 3 — Summit
The highest tier with the most powerful buildings in the standard game. Gateway to quintillions. The Labs & Robotics entrance is located at the summit.

Important spots across the Hill area:
Expansion Unlock Buttons
Located at the entrance of each layer. Purchase to unlock the next tier of hill buildings. These are expensive — ensure passive income is strong before investing.
Hill Decoration Gates
More numerous and harder to spot than in earlier areas. Check behind and around buildings after each layer unlock. Missing these can stall progression.
Labs & Robotics Entrance
Located at the Summit (Layer 3). This is your gateway to permanent upgrades that persist across all Ascends. One of the most important locations in the game.
Hill Viewpoint
A scenic spot at the top of the hill. While mostly decorative, some players report hidden interactions here. Worth exploring thoroughly.
