🧬 Orchard Mutations — 19 Buffs & Penalties

Mutations are the heart of the Orchard. They decide a fruit's value and power level. Four rules govern how they combine:

• Same-stat positive effects stack additively.
• Positive × negative on the same stat multiplies.
• A single fruit can carry multiple copies of the same mutation.
• Stacking is uncapped — keep rolling for more.

These buff your fruit. The Cash line (Tasty → Juicy → Exotic → Perfect) is the most valuable for income.

These penalize a fruit. Roll again or use a Cleansing Fertilizer to remove them.

A tree's mutations are determined the first time it finishes growing and are then locked. Every fruit that tree produces afterwards carries those same mutations. To change them, plant a new tree or use a Cleansing Fertilizer.

Instead of selling, you can eat a fruit for a temporary buff. Cash mutations (Tasty/Juicy/Exotic/Perfect) multiply your Cash income; Speed mutations (Tart/Zesty/Wild) speed up the game; Stimulating adds +100% walk-speed and stacks with the Run Faster power; Voided taps the Void system; Slimy turns you partly alien.
